Story from one of my characters who's life was cut WAY too short!

Midge was a terrible Mage,
he was scrawny, tired and quick to age!
But what he lacked in stature and deeds,
he made up for with leveling speeds.

You see, Midge was a Kobold,
... a true weakling of old!
Yet he chose to practice magic,
... for his melee was tragic.

Now upon his creation day,
as I've heard the sages say,
Midge passed up the school for Mage
to gain some strength, with age.

On his tenth advancement he swore
to never bruise, bludgeon or gore!
For now was his day, his time to shine!
Never again to ride the pine!

He quickly mastered tome and spell,
as he watched as enemies fell!
Death came quickly at his hand,
and cheers rang out from his band!

Alas and forsooth, our story doth twist
as a group of casters sprang from the mist!
Deftly the enemies fell before our group,
till lonely stood a solitary troop.

And as all cool-downs were ticking,
and fighter's, wounds were licking,
the sole caster unleashed his final curse,
As he was slain, thieves reaching for purse.

As the mist cleared the Cleric took number,
then tried to rouse Midge from his slumber.
He recited quickly, the full heal he was taught.
But Midge sat quietly, his peace was bought!

So here lies Midge, our little scamp,
butt of our jokes, as told around camp.
We'll drink to his life, our fond dear brother!
... aww screw it, he was a Kobold, just roll another!!!

Poor midge, one death now he rests in peace. Its amazing how quickly life can be snuffed out in this wondrous game. It seems that Kobolds are like little 3 wick candles... burn incredibly bright... but burn out so fast. in the span of 2 hours he had leveled up to 25 and was nuking everything in sight... just a shame that he only had 52hp at that level AFTER 10 levels as a peasant.
