Just wondering if there is a file or folder that can be moved between devices, so as to transfer saved game files from one device to another?

Well, no, you cannot access the game files and transfer them directly, however if you email me at 'support@gabysoft.com', I can give you instructions on how I can arrange a transfer of your characters via my server.
