Here's what I have:

I created a new player, a Gnoll Ninja, and I named it Ärgyn. She didn't appear in the tavern, so I rolled another player and gave her the same name, this time with a 'this name is in use' error message. I appended a random character just to check, and this player does not appear in the tavern either. All I can say is that I'm glad this happened with a relatively easy-to-roll player, as I'd be pretty peeved if it had been something I had been trying for for a while.

Thanks for the report, I will look into it. Was this on an iPhone/iPod, or an Android device? Can you submit a comment / bug report from within the game. That will send me your game file, and I can take a closer look.
